With this two-year grant, families will receive $1,000 per student in year one, and $500 per student in year two, which will be applied to offset school tuition.

At St. John the Baptist, we believe a Catholic education should be available to every child. There are numerous options available in the form of grants thorough the school or through the Diocese for those who qualify for financial assistance for kindergarten – 8th grade. All families seeking financial assistance from the parish or the Catholic Education Foundation must complete a FACTS application by April 1. Visit FACTS to apply using the Welcome Grant and Aid Applicant form.
The grants from the school are provided through the generous donations of our parishioners. Gifts from the Diocese’s Catholic Education Fund (CEF) and the parish are awarded based on need and granted after your application is reviewed.
The St. John the Baptist Monsignor Cloos Educational Assistance Fund is used to provide financial assistance for tuition through the generous donations of St. John's parishioners. This fund was created in response to the State of Illinois sunsetting the Invest in Kids Act on December 31, 2023, which provided thousands of dollars in assistance to private schools in Illinois. To find out if you qualify for the Monsignor Cloos Educational Assistance Fund, please contact our business office at 630-668-0918 x0, or click the button below to send an inquiry.
The Diocese of Joliet, through the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF), allocates funds to help children with financial need attend Catholic school. The program is open to K-12 students currently enrolled or applying for the next school year in any CEF-supported Catholic school within the Diocese of Joliet with demonstrated financial need. The standard CEF scholarship is $1,000 per student. Scholarships are awarded annually, and applications are taken from January 1, 2025 – April 1, 2025.
